Are the components of the wall unit sold separately?

All components of the wall unit are included. This wall unit is sold as a complete set and includes all six columns/cabinets and moldings as shown, with exception of chair and desk. This set requires assembly and will be performed by the delivery team.

Do we need a corner to display the bookcase as shown in the picture ?

While a corner placement is recommended, it is not required. But you will see the backside of the shelves if it is not placed in a corner.
